Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, load, and unload materials in a warehouse or production environment. This is a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics processes.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse or production area
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets using a forklift
- Transport materials to designated areas within the facility
- Perform daily inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance or safety issues
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and storage locations
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or similar role
- Valid forklift operator certification/license
- Proficient in operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures
- Basic math skills for inventory tracking and calculations
- Mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance on the forklifts
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
