POSITION OVERVIEW :
Reporting to the Crusher / Site Maintenance Superintendent, the Crusher / Site Maintenance General Supervisor is responsible for the safe efficient operation of the crusher as well as general maintenance and electrical work around the mine site. The ideal candidate will be able to manage the maintenance program for the Crusher and Process facilities and equipment to ensure the continued ability to safely meet production targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist, guide, direct and support the Site Maintenance and E&I supervisor to achieve the efficient maintenance of Process facilities, crusher, machinery and equipment.
- Assist, guide, direct and support Crushing supervisors to achieve safe production and meet targets.
- Work with Site Maintenance and E&I planners on scheduling and resource requirements for upcoming jobs.
- Manage the cost performance of the crusher maintenance function.
- Support the site maintenance supervisor in providing resources during major breakdowns.
- Be involved in long- and short-term planning to ensure the business targets are achieved.
- Monitor crusher availability and take remedial action to maintain production as necessary.
- Ensure full implementation of maintenance management strategies for functional areas, crushers, conveyors, feeders, screens, etc.
- Attend daily, weekly, and monthly planning meetings.
- Prepare and report on Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reports related to safety performance, equipment / crusher performance, cost variances and manpower.
