Job Description - Service Technician
Responsibilities:
- Perform and/or assist in the performance of general mechanical duties.
- Repair all equipment components and systems assigned to them with minimal assistance.
- Work on engine overhaul, fuel systems electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-up, and general maintenance.
- Use hand and mechanical tools and equipment to perform work
- Work on major components with close supervision.
- Perform trouble shooting on minor problems.
- Uses manufactures technical troubleshooting resources (Tech lines) independently along with diagnostic tools (laptop, meters, pressure gauges).
- Attend training sessions and meetings.
- Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools.
- Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
- Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely and seeks assistance when necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of hands-on diesel experience or graduate of vocational diesel courses.
- Necessary tools to perform the position.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Computer experience.
- CDL preferred, especially if position involves mobile technician duties
Working Conditions:

Manual dexterity is required. The wearing and use of company specified PPE is required as well as complying with all safety requirements.
Physical ability to lift 15-75 lbs.
