DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
Bachelor of Engineering degree required, (Structural / Civil / Mechanical / Industrial engineering preferred) along with 3 to 5 years of related experience.
Knowledge of curtainwall, building envelope systems and doors and windows.
Monitor glazing industry codes and revisions to ensure product compliance, while keeping the team informed of any updates and changes
Oversee product approvals and updates, coordinating with outsourced engineering firms to facilitate testing and certification of new products.
Prepare envelope wind load calculations for projects, reviewing structural design elements to ensure compliance with codes and product approvals.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with project managers and drafting teams on shop drawings, addressing field issues and assisting in the development of new systems and designs.
Maintain the in-house QA / QC program, directing testing and prototyping activities while ensuring thorough analysis of results for project submissions.
Must be proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel), Autocad and Inventor.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
A commercial specialty contractor that fabricates and installs high-performance pre-glazed curtain wall systems and provides a full range of window and door systems for commercial and residential construction.
COMPENSATION
Competitive compensation package, with a base salary range of up to $120,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
