Position Overview:
This position involves processing various financial transactions including new accounts, loans, and member inquiries across multiple communication channels while adhering to Credit Union policies. Responsibilities include counseling members on financial needs, establishing loans based on FCU procedures, cross-selling credit union services, assisting in account maintenance, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations like OFAC and the Bank Secrecy Act.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting loan interviews and obtaining previous credit history of member, as well as other pertinent data that could be used later.
- Establishes loans considering such factors as member’s assets, liabilities, credit experience, and references based on FCU loan procedures.
- Discussing loan alternatives, credit criteria, interest rates, and loan documentation in such a manner as to elicit a positive response from the member.
- Cross-selling credit union services; providing information regarding services and some counseling as necessary.
- Assisting in account maintenance activities.
- Providing basic financial counseling when needed or requested by members.
What We're Looking For:
- A high school diploma or GED combined with 1-3 years of related experience, or an equivalent mix of education and hands-on experience.
- A current driver’s license.
