Government Analyst II - Office of Adult Protective Services

Salary: $65,000

Location: Location Determined on Candidate Selected

Some travel may be required

Regular business hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday

If selected for hire, current DCF employees will be compensated in accordance with

the DCF salary policy


DESCRIPTION

This is a highly independent position responsible for monitoring the program's budget, programmatic training, and conducting planning and data analysis activities for the Adult Protective Services (APS) Program Office to improve statewide training and quality assurance outcomes for the APS program. Assists in the development of specifications for enhancements or modifications to the computer system, SAFE. Coordinates with appropriate staff in the preparation of training plans and the creation of tracking training data for any modifications. Directs the preparation of user documentation, instructions, and materials for training as appropriate. Receives user feedback and responds to questions. Provides consultant services to APS staff and others within and outside the Department in the use of APS program to improve management capabilities and operational procedures. Provides data analysis services to promote the most efficient and effective accomplishment of the program's operating objectives.


REQUIREMENTS


Essential Job Functions: Provide information required for performance based policy, including budgeting, to the APS performance and management reports. Coordinates with appropriate department staff to ensure that necessary changes occur as needed for the APS training with program community/agency partners, computer systems, management of the APS budget, and provision of training for APS staff.


Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s or higher


Work Experience Requirements: 5 years’ experience in the APS program; proficiency in working in APS systems (FSFN, SAFE ASIS, ARTT, DAVID)


Software Proficiency: WORD, EXCEL

BACKGROUND SCREENING It is the policy of the Florida Department of Children and Families that any applicant being considered for employment must successfully complete a State and National criminal history check as a condition of employment before beginning employment, and, if applicable, also be screened in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, F.S., and Chapter 408, F.S. No applicant may begin employment until the background screening results are received, reviewed for any disqualifying offenses, and approved by the Agency. Background screening shall include, but not be limited to, fingerprinting for State and Federal criminal records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and may include local criminal history checks through local law enforcement agencies.
