Account Manager/ Inside Sales/Customer Service
- Generates and solicits new business for the company through contacts with previous and prospective customers with the objective of making a profit for the company.
- Sells new and rebuild parts or components, services, retrofits and upgrades in a coordinated effort between sales and other company departments.
- Processes request for quotes and informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.
- Reviews customer specifications, determines customer needs, and assists staff in matching customer needs with company products and vice versa.
- Enters customer counter/customer service orders received and distributes copies to assigned departments and/or files as required.
- Computes price, discount, and shipping charges as required.
- Ensures customer satisfaction by maintaining a working relationship with the customer, assuring that their interest is represented within the company.
- Provides technical assistance in the resolution of parts, component rebuild, retrofit and upgrading problems.
- Confers with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.
- Follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.
- Resolves customer complaints within limits of authority.
- Compiles statistics and prepares various reports when requested by management.
- Participates in on-call duty rotation
- Coordinates tracking of repair work for all major repairs components
- Assist in writing SDN for obsolete materials
- Travels as required to customer site or group meeting
- Other duties as assigned
- PC Knowledge (Windows/Excel/PowerPoint)
- Sales knowledge, (Engine Product Knowledge Preferred)
- Two-year certificate from college or technical school; minimum three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with mechanical equipment
