What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer Grant Writer for a disability themed mobile game position at Florida Disability Access and Awareness Foundation, Inc?
FDAAF highlights people with disabilities by developing media products that challenge stereotypes and perceptions. Our goal is to develop programs that make you stop, think and feel with a message of inclusion. Change starts with attitudes.
, Our nonprofit is working on a unique first of its kind mobile game focused on building a disability friendly community, promoting accessibility, disability awareness and knowledge and understanding of the ADA. We are now at a stage where in order complete the project we are looking to secure funding funding. We're looking for someone to research available grants and write up applications, understanding the non-traditional aspects of our projects. We use Grant Station premium grant researching platform. The media angle might be novel and unusual to grantors, but the underlying goal to push for visibility and inclusion is not. We just use different tools to get there.
Our entire team is working remotely and we are spread out across the US. We also understand, that with a volunteering position time is limited and hours are irregular and subject to change- that's why most of us interact online on their own schedule. We are looking for someone independent, motivated and organized who wants to be a part of something different and shares our interest in creating positive change through visual media by being a part of a driven team.
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by VolunteerMatch, in partnership with LinkedIn for Good.
