Overview
Florida East Coast Railway is currently seeking a Cash Applications Specialist to join our Accounting group in Jacksonville, FL. The position is day shift Monday-Friday on-site. Candidate must be flexible to work later hours during month-end close activities and support team, even on holidays.
Relocation assistance is NOT offered for this position.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for accurate and timely billing of all charges associated with each FEC intermodal ramp, including but not limited to:
- Storage, detention, flips, and neutral chassis charges (Intermodal)
- Demurrage & Storage (Carload)
- Dwell charges while units sit at the customer’s facility
- Door to Door moves and associated accessorial charges
- Reconcile monthly REZ1 billing report with charges associated with CSX-UMAX traffic
- Responsible for researching and resolving billing discrepancies
- Works closely with customers, operations and customer service on billing issues
- Assists with the collection of delinquent balances to secure payment
- Preparation of various reports for management and internal/external auditors
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4 years of railroad or trucking revenue experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably with an emphasis Finance or Accounting
- Knowledge of TL2000 and JD Edwards E1
- Intermodal Directory, Carload Directory, Drayage Circular experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Up to 10% travel required
- The applicant selected for this position will be required to successfully complete a background check and drug test
