Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule and confirm appointments using Dentrix .
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to patient visits.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered at the clinic.
- Process patient files, including insurance verification and coding for billing purposes.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and effective communication.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental clinic or medical office is preferred.
- Strong patient service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Knowledge of Dentrix software is a plus.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Ability to perform coding tasks accurately for billing purposes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
