Job Summary: The Flight Dispatcher/Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities at FFTC. This dual-role position combines the responsibilities of coordinating flight schedules and providing front desk support. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-service-oriented attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Flight Dispatching:
- Coordinate training sessions, ensuring optimal utilization of aircraft and instructors.
- Rearrange and edit the schedule as needed to accommodate with weather and MX delays
- Monitor and track flight operations, maintaining accurate records of flight activities through scheduling software.
- Communicate with students and instructors regarding schedule changes, weather conditions, and other pertinent information.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and school policies.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of flight briefs and debriefs.
Reception Duties:
- Greet and assist students, staff, and visitors, providing a friendly and professional first point of contact.
- Answer and direct incoming calls, take messages, and handle inquiries efficiently.
- Manage and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Assist with light administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining office supplies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in aviation or office administration is a plus.
- Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role; experience in aviation or flight operations is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Google Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-service-oriented attitude.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of aviation terminology and flight operations.
- Experience with Flight Schedule Pro software.
- Bilingual skills are a plus (German, Hindi, Spanish, ect.)
