Assistant Coordinator, Gators Experience (2 Openings) - Hawkins Center

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for two interns to assist in: coordinating and implementing the Gator Experience program, including but not limited to career development, community service, leadership, and personal enhancement; marketing, planning, and recruiting student-athletes for events in order to help develop Gators student-athletes into prepared professionals. The interns will assist in providing professional level support and programs to student-athletes in accordance with the regulation of UF, UAA, SEC, and NCAA.
This position is intended to provide a practical, hands-on experience within the Gators Experience program. It is a time limited position with an option for a second year if essential criteria is met, with an anticipated start date in August 2025.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Sports Management, Psychology, Counseling or a related field
• Flexible, detail-oriented individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality as well as a high standard of integrity and professionalism
• Ability and willingness to take and pass a driving background check
• Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
• Ability to work a non-standard work week which will include evenings, weekends, holidays
• Desire to work a full-time schedule within Gators Experience program

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in college athletics as a student-athlete or working in an intercollegiate athletic academic office
• Intention to pursue a Master’s Degree at the University of Florida
