Intern - Business & Finance

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for an intern with an interest in Athletic Business & Finance. This role assists the Business Office staff in supporting numerous sports and departments across the UAA while working with individuals at all levels. Responsibilities include applying principals of accounting and finance to perform a variety of specialized financial, administrative, and clerical-accounting functions.
This is a time-limited position with an option for a second year if essential criteria is met.
This posting will remain open until a qualified candidate is chosen, and has an anticipated start date in June 2025.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
• Working a non-standard work week which may include nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have or pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Sports Management or a related field
• One year of related experience
