Florida Heart Associates is recruiting for a full-time Clinical Nurse Manager. The Clinical Nurse Manager coordinates and directs patient care and related activities of the Facility according to accepted standards. The position is responsible for administrative and operational activities as well as the outcomes related to the services performed in this department. This includes this department’s productivity, quality, staff development, budget, vendor and patient relations and ensuring department meets the requirements of appropriate regulatory bodies. The Clinical Nurse Manager works closely with this department’s medical director(s), FHA’s administrative staff and other members of the medical staff in the performance of these duties.
Located in the attractive Southwest Florida Gulf Coast area, Florida Heart Associates operates a modern medical center dedicated to meeting the cardiac needs of Southwest Florida. We perform diagnostic cardiac testing, in addition to peripheral vascular procedures. We also support an in-house cardiac PET imaging system, stress testing, ECHO, and management of arrhythmia equipment.

EXPERIENCE: At least five years of professional nursing experience. A minimum of two years of clinical supervision. Cardiology practice experience preferred.
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited program for RN; BSN preferred.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Helps to establish/implement goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems for the assigned departments under the direction of Administration and physician partners
- Participates in the development and implementation of long-range plans and budgets.
- Being able to complete all of the principal duties of the clinic and triage
- Selects, trains/orientates, and supervises department personnel. Accountable for work assignment and daily operations in all areas.
- Evaluates performance and recommends merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
- Resolves problems and ensures compliance with regulations, standards, codes and core values.
- Assists fiscal management and other administrative staff to develop/implement cost effective policies and procedures for all operational areas including bookkeeping, billing, insurance, fee schedules, credit/collections, purchasing, data processing and space allocation.
- Monitors and controls clinic, medical information and abstraction expenditures within budget.
- Overall responsibility for maintaining department productivity within time constraints.
- Complete payroll duties and ensures proper staffing coverage for the all departments.
- Ensures the effective development and implementation of job description, policies and payroll.
- Maintains employee/company confidentiality.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Maintain departmental policies and procedures for all nursing departments.
- Works with physicians, practitioners, and nursing staff to ensure quality patient care and services are provided.
- Participates with FHA Board as required.
- Assists nursing personnel, as needed, in workload assignments to make the department/practice more efficient.
- Reviews and recommends department payroll records. Approves time cards and overtime.
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervising manager.

- Works with people in tactful, diplomatic manner. Exercises judgment and discretion when dealing with patients and staff. ·
- Maintain professional licensure and required re-certifications.
