What are the responsibilities and job description for the Echocardiographer - PRN position at Florida Heart Associates?
Florida Heart Associates is recruiting for a PRN Echocardiographer in our busy accredited Echo/Vascular Lab. Qualified applicants are required to have at least one year of experience. The Echocardiographer technologist will perform echocardiography and vascular procedures and associated calculations and measurements.
Located in the attractive Southwest Florida Gulf Coast area, Florida Heart Associates operates a modern medical center dedicated to meeting the cardiac needs of Southwest Florida. We perform diagnostic cardiac testing, in addition to peripheral vascular procedures. We also support an in-house cardiac PET imaging system, stress testing, ECHO, and management of arrhythmia equipment.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one (1) year of experience required.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: RDCS with ARDMS; RCS with CCI; BLS certification
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Performs high-quality echocardiograms procedures with associated measurements and calculations as established by the Medical Director of the Echo/Vascular Department.
- Evaluates abnormal pathology and notifies physician of any life-threatening or relevant test data and/or condition.
- Reviews procedures with physicians and Medical Director as needed or requested.
- Handles all clerical duties associated with the echo/vascular department including preparation of studies for review, logging, archiving, entering charges into EMR and CD duplication as requested.
- Troubleshoots equipment, arranges with the department manager for service and performs routine maintenance such as cleaning of probes, machine surfaces and filters.
- Must be able to travel to alternate office location in order to meet the needs of the department and patient care.
- Participates in quality assurance activities
