Join our leadership team as Associate Vice President of Operations at Florida National University. This key executive position supports the VP of Operations in strategic implementation across multiple campuses and departments. You'll oversee critical operational functions including IT, Human Resources, Military Affairs, Maintenance, Campus Deans, and more while ensuring alignment with our university's mission and SACSCOC accreditation standards.
What You'll Do
- Lead operational execution and process optimization across multiple university departments
- Collaborate with the IT Director to implement innovative technologies enhancing educational delivery
- Oversee facilities maintenance ensuring a safe, modern learning environment
- Support budget management aligning resources with academic and administrative needs
- Supervise campus deans' operations ensuring excellent student services
- Develop strategies to improve enrollment, retention, and graduation metrics
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage vendor relationships and institutional contracts
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Higher Education Administration, or related field from a regionally accredited institution (doctoral degree preferred)
- Minimum 10 years' experience in higher education administration with operational leadership responsibilities
- Proven track record in strategic planning, budget management, and organizational leadership
- Experience with SACSCOC accreditation processes and standards
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making capabilities
