Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Supply Chain and Procurement to oversee and manage all procurement activities across our multi-site orthopedic healthcare practices. The Director of Supply Chain and Procurement will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of medical supplies, equipment, and services. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives. 
  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products and services. 
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control procurement budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost-effective procurement practices.    
  • Compliance: Ensure vendor and product compliance across enterprise and compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies related to procurement and supply chain management. 
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory management processes to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste. 
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the procurement/purchasing team, providing guidance and support to achieve company goals as well as personal development.   
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to assess procurement performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including finance, IT, operations, and clinical teams, to ensure seamless procurement processes and support organizational needs. 


Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field  
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the healthcare industry. 
  • Proven track record of successful procurement management in a multi-site environment. 
  • Previous experience managing acquisitions.  
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Knowledge of procurement software and tools. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CPIM) is a plus.
