What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Medicine Medical Assistant position at FLORIDA ORTHOPEDICS & NEUROSURGERY LLC?
We are a busy Orthopedic practice dedicated to individualized treatment for relief of pain conditions and we are seeking an outgoing, experienced candidate with personal injury experience to work as an Occupational Medicine Medical Assistant.
Duties:
- Medical assistant will collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing
- Take patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Draw Vaccines
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as Urine and Breath testing, Audiogram, conducting visual acuity testing, hair follicle testing, and fitness exam
Skills:
- 2 or more years of experience in performing D.O.T physicals preferred
- 2 or more years of General Physical Exams preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
Note: Willing to Certify with Experience
