About the Role: The Phlebotomist will be responsible for performing venipuncture and other specimen collection techniques while ensuring patient comfort and safety. This role is critical in supporting our clinical laboratory operations and providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients, ensuring the use of aseptic techniques.
• Process and label specimens accurately, adhering to established protocols for specimen collection and handling.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety guidelines and infection control practices.
• Works collaboratively with the facility staff and physicians to ensure timely processing of specimens for diagnostic testing.
• Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, alleviate concerns, and ensure a positive experience.
• Document all procedures performed in accordance with medical terminology standards and laboratory protocols.
• Abides by all safety/risk, infection control, and other guidelines as required.
• Participate in quality control measures to maintain the integrity of laboratory techniques and results.
• Completes all other duties as assigned.

• Proficiency in venipuncture techniques and specimen collection processing is essential.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to blood sampling and laboratory practices is advantageous.

• Tech-Savvy: You have a thorough understanding of the Electronic Medical Records system.
• Comprehensive Knowledge: You understand medical and orthopedic terminology.
• Regulation Proficiency: You abide by HIPAA and OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
• Certified Phlebotomist.
• Previous work experience as a phlebotomist is required. Experience in Orthopedic Practice or Pain Management is strongly preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to successfully complete a level II background screening.
