Job Summary:
The Command Post position is an event-based position. This person will act as a central hub for the department and is responsible for the data entry of work orders as they are called in via walkie-talkie during events and hockey games. The information called out often involves patrons’ safety and is time sensitive, so it is imperative the person fulfilling this role is detail oriented and works well under pressure, coordinating responses and ensuring these work orders are closed in a timely fashion to prevent the situation from escalating.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data entry: incoming calls need to be logged into our work order system.
- Communication management: Relaying critical information to the corresponding personnel.
- Coordinating responses with counterparts from other departments.
- Monitor relevant incoming information from various sources in efforts to prevent duplicate work orders and calls.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Technical proficiency encouraged
- Detail oriented
- Strong communication skills
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
