Position Specific Description
Under limited guidance and direction, this position provides routine and emergent maintenance and repair support for water chemistry equipment at power plant sites across the FPL fleet. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and capable of effectively prioritizing and scheduling their workload, and coordinating plans, issues, and needs with Site and Fleet personnel as required to complete work in a timely and efficient manner. Strong experience with operation and maintenance of water chemistry equipment of various types and manufacturers is preferred. Travel is expected up to 75% of the time and primarily local during the business day, although occasional travel is expected which may require overnight stays and weekends.

- Perform inspections and maintenance activities on various water chemistry equipment at multiple locations within the FPL fleet
- Provide remote and onsite troubleshooting, repair, and installation support services as required to meet customer requirements
- Work with and take direction from Site and Fleet personnel to prioritize and efficiently schedule and execute monthly work items
- Coordinate with Site personnel to establish appropriate inventory, efficient parts utilization, and maintain accurate inventory records
- Assist in development and delivery of procedures and training materials at both Fleet and Local Site levels
- Provide recommendations to optimize and improve systems and equipment related to water chemistry monitoring and control
- Safely and efficiently travel to and from worksites for scheduled routine work and occasional emergent service callouts
- Generate and submit timely and accurate reports and records of equipment conditions, work performed, and upcoming service
- Interact with equipment manufacturers and vendors to accomplish advanced tasks and procure replacement parts and consumable
- Follow industrial and laboratory safe work practices according to company policy
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
