Crew Leader
Location: Fernandina Beach, FL
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Works safely while leading crew members in the new construction, maintenance and repair work of energized and de-energized overhead and underground work.
- Frequently works with energized high voltage systems requiring skill and care to protect the lives of themselves and others.
- Must have been a Lineman for five years and be proficient in all job requirements of a Lineman as described in the Lineman job description.
- Daily supervision of line personnel assigned; able to delegate duties and assign tasks. Ensure that duties and assignments are carried out properly and safely.
- Completion of work-related forms such as time sheets, retirement sheets, and meter orders. Check assigned employees forms for completion and accuracy before turning in to Supervisor.
- Learn new operation, maintenance, and construction techniques for electric distribution systems. Teach to other line personnel.
- Must be well versed in safety for (Crew/Equipment).
- Completion of safety courses as offered.
- Conduct job briefings and complete proper forms before work is started.
- Oversee and safely set up and the removal of MOT work zones.
- Check work and work area before leaving to make sure work is completed to specifications on Work Order. Verify no trash or discarded items are left.
- Must have good Customer/Public relations skills.
- Able to complete special assignments as required.
- Maintains company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
