Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support 20 facilities, 16 shops, and a team of 30 Shop Foremen/Mechanics, along with three Maintenance Supervisors and training programs for all maintenance staff.
- Manage the maintenance and operational readiness of 600 petroleum and dry bulk trailers, 425 company-owned tractors, and 70 leased tractors.
- Review, evaluate, and oversee specifications and procurement for new tractors and trailers.
- Oversee the sale and disposal of used tractors and trailers to optimize asset utilization and financial return.
- Strategically allocate equipment across terminals based on business needs, asset age, mileage, and utilization trends.
- Manage the company’s tire program, including purchasing and vendor negotiations.
- Lead the recruitment and hiring process for Shop Foremen and Mechanics to ensure a skilled and efficient workforce.
- Ensure the safe operations of all maintenance facilities, adhering to company policies and industry safety regulations.
- Oversee and implement environmental compliance plans at each terminal, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Foster professional communication and collaboration with employees, managers, vendors, and external partners.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships across all markets to ensure cost-effective and reliable service.
- Stay informed on emerging trends, innovations, and best practices in maintenance technology, equipment, and fleet management.
- Travel up to 50% of the time to support operational needs across different locations.

Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills:

Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Transportation, or a related field required.
- 5 to 10 years of supervisory or management experience in fleet maintenance, transportation, or logistics.
- Experience with Class 8 tractors and petroleum tankers preferred.
