What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Specialist position at Florida Roof Specialists?
The Billing Specialist is responsible for the successful collection and follow-up on the company's outstanding accounts receivable. This position works closely with customers and their insurance companies in order to attain status updates on accounts and collect payments due. Job functions include:
- Billing/invoicing customers and insurance companies
- Managing customer payment methods such as checks, credit cards, etc.
- Establishing client follow-ups and monitoring past-due accounts
- Communicating with homeowners and insurance companies
- Taking meticulous notes on the statuses of customer balances
- Working with the Billing Manager effectively to collect outstanding balances
- Preparing liens and releases for Senior Management to sign off
- Compiling and escalating customer questions/complaints to the appropriate manager or team member for resolution
- Creating and filing NTO and liens through the county
A great customer service attitude, attention to detail, and efficient time-management skills are a must for this job. Accurate reporting in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
Prior roofing company experience is preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
