**LOOKING TO HIRE IMMEDIATELY**

The General Manager is responsible for effectively leading the overall operation of the business including the sales and rental department. Provide leadership and manage rental service operations with authority to make purchasing decisions and other business-based decisions.

Basic Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Business Management degree with at least 1 year of Rental Industry experience OR 3-4 years of Rental Industry experience
  • Strong understanding of equipment capabilities and safety requirements
  • Strong organizational, leadership and management skills. Ability to work with customers, motivate employees and work with internal departments to achieve desired results.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment products
  • Extensive experience in the repair and maintenance of AWP equipment
  • Critical thinking- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Resolving conflicts and negotiating with others- The ability to handle complaints, settle disputes, resolve grievances and conflicts or otherwise negotiate with others
  • Active Listening- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and advise on all rental department matrix: including utilization, operating profit, gross margins, total store sales.
  • Generate new service business sales through the development and deployment of rental marketing strategies, including value-added, equipment lifecycle services for construction, utility, power generation, and mining customers.
  • Develop and manage expense budgets and monthly forecasts.  Coordinate annual inventory
  • Support and develop company policy and procedures. Maintain, administer, and manage appropriate policies and procedures for operations, compliance, and safety.
  • Performs additional duties as required to achieve company goals and increase overall company profitability.
  • Must have excellent management skills and excellent customer relationships.
  • Accurately track equipment, maintain accurate equipment inventory logs, process and log internal delivery paperwork, maintain and invoice rental equipment contracts

The rental manager must demonstrate company values to current and prospective customers, along with current and potential coworkers.

  • Know and follow all company and customer safety rules, including maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, fully participating in company accident prevention and safety improvement activities.
  • Must have the physical ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including protective glasses, protective gloves, and protective clothing and footwear as required by the job.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Respond to all customer requests in a professional and courteous, timely and responsive manner.
  • Maintain a clean, professional personal appearance always, meeting all company standards for professionalism.
  • Keep the customer continually apprised to assist in answering questions and problems when necessary.

  • Supports the organization’s mission, vision, and values while delivering high quality solutions and maintaining a positive attitude and a safe work environment.
  • Accepts responsibility for mistakes or problems. Maintains “ownership” of overall department and facilities.

  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Must be honest, reliable, and dependable, and display a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to work well under occasional pressure or within work standards and deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently and/or with others in a team environment.
  • Able to work a standard five-day schedule, including daily overtime and occasional weekend hours as needed.
  • Meet all eligibility requirements to drive company vehicles, including a current, valid driver's license issued by the resident State, and maintain current motor vehicle liability insurance.
