Job Summary:
">The Data Entry Specialist plays a pivotal role in the Donor Processing Department, ensuring the security of incoming and outgoing mail. This position involves opening and distributing mail, processing gifts, and maintaining constituent data with confidentiality, orderliness, and discretion.
Main Responsibilities:
">- Coordinates and ensures the security of incoming and outgoing mail to/from the office.
- Opens Business Reply Envelopes containing donations and verifies accurate check information for depositing and processing gifts.
- Ensures all monies received are properly accounted for and deposited according to policy and procedure.
- Reviews paperwork attached to donation advice and updates constituent records as necessary.
- Adds new constituents to the database and prepares necessary paperwork for gift processing.
- Contacts constituents or donor relations staff to clarify information before processing.
- Researches and batches receipts for non-cash gifts.
- Edits gift processing completed by coworkers to ensure accuracy.
- Processes receipts and thank you letters daily as assigned.
Requirements:
">- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least one year of office experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Windows-based software, including Microsoft Office products, is required.
- Experience with Raiser's Edge software is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
">- The hourly pay rate is $15.50.
