The Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to perform various clerical and technical tasks in the HR Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, reviewing, processing, and entering personnel data, researching files, and maintaining related records.
Key Responsibilities
The Human Resources Specialist will perform a variety of tasks including:
- Processing paperwork, verifying information, and ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations and Youth Ranches policies and procedures.
- Processing monthly billings, reviewing for accuracy, and resolving discrepancies with vendors.
- Acting as liaison with departments, vendors, and employees; assisting with completion of forms, resolving concerns, and verifying information.
- Preparing and ensuring all internal and external correspondence and communications are completed within established time frames.
- Handling and maintaining confidential information.
- Providing operational support to other human resources and Main Office staff as needed.
Areas of Expertise
In addition to general job duties, the Human Resources Specialist will have expertise in one of the following areas:
- Benefits: Processes all material relative to benefit enrollments, terminations, family status changes, evidence of insurability, waiver of premiums, death and disability claims; and adheres to all guidelines regarding eligibility and ensures documentation.
- Generalist: Provides operational support to other human resources and Main Office staff as needed.
