Job Description
We are looking for high-quality teachers to add to our team of part time/adjunct instructors to provide instruction in the teaching of English (ENG & ENL), Composition (ENC), Literature (LIT), Reading (REA), and/or Speech (SPC). These are on-site positions for one or more campuses or centers in the greater Jacksonville area. The job involves teaching and instructing students, working with the LMS Canvas, grading assignments, and providing academic support and guidance to students. Extensive experience is not necessary.
Qualifications
- A master’s degree or higher in one of the aforementioned disciplines or a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the qualifying disciplines (ENC, ENG, LIT, SPC).
- Reading adjunct instructors may be qualified with a bachelor’s degree with a state reading certification.
Pay
- The pay rate is $700/work load unit (course credit.) Most Communication classes (ENC, ENG, LIT, SPC) are 3 credits each, thus $2,100/class. Our Developmental Education writing and reading classes are 4 credit ($2,800) and 5 credits ($3,500) each.
