Florida Swim Company is making waves in the Orlando area, providing top-notch private, mobile swimming lessons, and lifeguarding services. Join our dynamic team of Private Swim Instructors and Lifeguards, where you get to choose your clients, make your own schedule, and turn your passion for swimming into a rewarding side gig!
Private Swim Instructor:
We are looking for the best swim instructors - in terms of professionalism and skill. All swim lessons are taught in a private, one-on-one setting, at your clients' home or community pool.
Swim teachers provide lessons to infants (beginning at 6 months of age), toddlers, children, teenagers and adults. Private swim instructors also provide private swim coaching/stroke refinement for experienced swimmers, as well as swim lessons for those with special needs or disabilities.
Pay for Swim Lessons start at $25 for 30-minute lessons and $35 of 1-hour lessons.
Swim Lesson packages are eligible for bonuses ranging from $10-$100 upon completion for a client's package,
Private Lifeguard:
Make a splash as a Private Lifeguard! Safeguard parties near the water, from pools to lakes and beaches. Enforce water safety rules, supervise swimmers, and ensure a worry-free aquatic experience. Join us in creating a safe and enjoyable environment for all, while earning extra income doing what you love.
Pay for Private Lifeguarding is $90 for a 3 hour gig.
You are required to provide your own lifeguard tube, whistle and small first aid kit.
Key Details:
- Swim Instructor and Lifeguard gigs are available in Orlando, Ocala, Daytona Beach and surrounding areas, including Kissimmee, St. Cloud, Lake Buena Vista, Doctor Phillips, Celebration, Davenport, Winter Garden, Lake Hart, Hunters Creek, Union Park, Winter Park, Altamonte Springs, Oviedo, Apopka, Sanford, Lake Mary, Deltona, Orange City, Deland, New Smyrna Beach, Port Orange, Ormond Beach and Fort McCoy.
- All swim instructor and lifeguard jobs are subcontracted 1099 roles
- Gigs are available 7 days a week, operating from 8:00am to 8:00pm (most desired time ranges are weekdays after 4:00pm or Saturday / Sunday availability
- Swim clients at various skill levels range from 6 months of age to adult, including special needs and disabilities
Your Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and communicate with your clients, exhibiting a high standard of professionalism, as you create a swim lesson schedule (ranging from 1-25 lessons)
- Arrive promptly at scheduled lesson times, demonstrating competency of swim instruction
- Possess the ability to tailor your lessons and teaching approach to accommodate the diverse needs and learning styles of your students
Requirements:
- Certified in First Aid, CPR, AED; Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Lifeguard, or willing to obtain certification
- 2 years experience preferred
- Must have reliable transportation and willing to drive to up to 20 mile radius
- Punctuality, Professional, Excellent Communication
- Comfortable around children and parents
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must be over the age of 18
