The Manager of Student Financial Services will provide the best and most meaningful information with which to make programmatic and financial decisions.
Supports and enforces the departmental strategy and direction so students are provided with the maximum amount of financial aid that they are entitled to according to the applicable regulations, with timely service and the utmost quality.
The Manager of Student Financial Services will provide oversight, support, and guidance to financial aid and student accounts departments so that students ledger transactions including : charges, awards, and refunds are aligned with all state, federal and accreditation regulations as well as the College’s policies and expectations.
The Manager of Student Financial Services is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of student records and accounts while remaining compliant with all state, federal and accreditation regulations.
Minimum requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree completed is required
At least three (3) years of supervisory experience
Available to travel between NUC- FTC Campuses (Monthly Car Allowance will be provided)
Essential duties and responsibilities :
- Administer student financial services for the FTC campuses.
- Execute strategic plan of the activities and goals of Student Financial Services to reach a student environment of service satisfaction.
- Develop, recommend and maintain current policies and procedures attributed to Student Financial Services.
- Monitor student ledger entries.
- Assist in cash collections to meet institution goals
- Partner with Tuition Options for collections efforts
- Ensure compliance with all VA regulations.
- Supervise the timely and correct certification of VA students.
- Participate in the VA Compliance Survey and / or audits
- Be responsible for ensuring that all programs / locations maintain VA approval.
- Escalate any stipend request and follow up for completion
- Monitor financial aid packaging status, awards, and assist with resolving exceptions.
- Provide data and analysis to help evaluate success in terms of student outcomes.
- Assist in conducting quarterly audits in assigned market to ensure compliance with college policies, and stated, federal and accrediting body regulations.
- Provide direction and leadership in the implementation of all policies, procedures, programs and services of the Student Accounts and Financial Aid Departments to ensure timely and high-quality service to all students.
- Responsible for ensuring students receive a high-level service experience
