We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to join our dynamic radiology team in an outpatient clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing CT (computed tomography) scans on patients, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images, and providing excellent patient care. The CT Technologist will work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT Scans: Conduct CT imaging procedures as prescribed by physicians, following established protocols and guidelines to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety.
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for CT examinations, explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and safely. Report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Image Quality: Evaluate CT images for technical quality, ensuring proper identification and labeling of images for accurate diagnosis.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self. Utilize appropriate shielding and protective measures.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient information, procedures performed, and any observations or abnormalities in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of diagnostic images and reports.
- Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in CT technology and radiology practices through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, demonstrating empathy, respect, and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Certification: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in CT required. State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist if applicable.
