The role involves applying glaze to tile using a spray machine. The technician must follow department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and operate the spray machine and associated equipment correctly. Key responsibilities include:
- Operating the spray machine in the application of glaze to tile
- Assisting with training of spray operators
- Following department SOP
- Operates the spray machine and associated equipment to properly apply glaze or ink on tile
- Makes and records quality checks
- Identifies source of quality defects and makes adjustments to ensure quality
- Operates edge cleaning equipment to ensure proper specifications
- Operates dryer entrance and exit tables and row former equipment
- Completes daily production reports accurately, neatly, and completely
- Performs PM and minor maintenance on the spray machine and related equipment
- Assists in training of coworkers as required
- Maintains cleanliness of area
- Practices correct safety procedures
