What are the responsibilities and job description for the Territory Sales Manager position at Florida Tile?
Responsible for all aspects of maximizing sales and profit growth to customers while keeping operation costs in budget within an assigned territory. This would include management of their territory to maintain Florida Tile growth for the short term and long-term needs of the company. Also responsible for all sales merchandising, technical information, customer product knowledge, and evaluating the area's market needs and business conditions in their territory. Act as a business consultant to the customers for selling efficiency and market growth.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Work from a home office and travel throughout the territory in order to maximize sales Develop and execute Business Plans for each customer that will achieve customers sales budget Participate in Budget process Establish and maintain a customer network for Florida Tile products in the territory Target, call on, and develop relationships with customers Makes every effort to meet and exceed sales budgets Introduce and successfully initiate company programs and new product introductions. Assess competitors, their product lines and strategies. Compile a library of their product catalogs, spec sheets, etc., and keep informed of their activity Aggressively prospect new accounts and develop long term relationships with customers Introduce and initiate company programs and new product introductions Evaluate product field complaints and resolve them in accordance with company guidelines Advise and train customers regarding display systems that will maximize sales Develop and maintain job quotes and price exceptions Coordinate with customer for product complaint resolution Submit to the Marketing Department any new trends in the territory Supply all reports, information, and inquires requested by upper management expeditiously Must attend and sell at all regional and national industry shows when requested Additional duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS : Experience in sales, account management, and new business development Exceptional verbal and written communication skills At least three years of direct sales experience Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline preferred; education may be substituted with 8 years related experience. Computer literacy including Microsoft office Ability to achieve company goals with little supervision Business to business sales knowledge and techniques Overall analysis of the total and individual markets in order to set goals, plan and execute market research, forecasting sales, and establishing new markets Ability to travel throughout the specified territory Development, planning and the execution of yearly business plan Knowledge of floor coverings is a plusFlorida Tile provides an array of benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
