Florida Transportation Engineering (FTE) is a professional civil engineering firm specializing in Highway and Traffic Engineering Design, Surveying, and Mapping. FTE is a growing business with offices in Tampa, Punta Gorda, DeFuniak Springs, Jacksonville, Miami, and Lakeland.
FTE is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Professional Surveyor to join our Tampa office. This position involves advanced professional surveying and mapping tasks with substantial supervisory responsibilities. The role will focus on surveying and mapping for roadway improvement projects, as well as other varied assignments, both public and private clients. This position provides an excellent opportunity to grow and enhance the capabilities of our Survey Department while taking on project leadership responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Design survey and report production, as well as client deliverables.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee field surveying operations to ensure timely completion of all tasks.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communicate efficiently with the project team, clients, and consultants.
- Effectively interface with sub-consultants and as well as other business relationships.
- Define assignments/deliverables to team members.
- Ability to oversee, mentor and motivate a team.
Qualifications:
- Registration by the Florida State Board of Professional Surveyors and Mappers as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM)
- Post-licensure land survey experience.
- Working knowledge of Civil3D or OpenRoads Design (ORD).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
- FDOT experience
- Experience with Leica Pegasus II, mobile LiDAR equipment.
