This is a full-time, hourly position, working during the summer only from Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. The position is located in Enterprise, FL.

What You Need
- Must have a current Class B or higher driver’s license with passenger and airbrake endorsement
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must have experience with school age children in an organized group setting
- Must have experience planning for both group and individual activities
- Must communicate well with staff, parents and children and must be aware of each child’s individual needs
- Must have sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Be responsible for transportation to and from field trip venues including pre-trip fueling of bus
- Be responsible for inspections of the bus and report and concerns to maintenance
- Ensure that the program meets the physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs of each child individually
- Prepare an interesting and safe environment that is orderly, clean and appealing and permits the child to grow and explore
- Plan weekly lesson plans based on a curriculum outline and that developmental stages of the children
- Observe and record significant individual and group behavior, record any incident, injury or area of concern
- Establish and maintain positive communications with parents through daily contact and appropriate forms
- Assure that campers are comfortable, relaxed, happy and involved in a variety of activities
- Maintain attendance and incident logs
- Interact with the children with respect and at their level
- Inform director of program goals and developments with children and parents on a daily basis
- Be able to change children who have had accidents according to written procedures, clean up messes such as vomit, diarrhea or toilet floods
- Attend all scheduled staff meetings
- Maintain a positive attitude and model appropriate behavior and problem solving
- Work well with a team, e.g. camp staff
- Discuss staffing, program goals, planning, material needs, individual development of the children and other camp related areas
