Position Summary:
As an Outdoor Business Development Representative, you will lead the identification of new business opportunities, cultivate client relationships, and drive sales of our outdoor landscaping tile products. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the landscaping and construction industries and a proven track record in sales and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and Pursue New Business Opportunities: Actively seek out and target potential clients within the landscaping and construction sectors. Build a solid pipeline of sales prospects and develop strategies to convert leads into business.
- Build and Maintain Strong Client Relationships: Foster long-term relationships with current and potential clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and repeat business.
- Provide Exceptional Customer Service and Support: Address customer inquiries and provide timely, accurate solutions to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Prepare and Deliver Compelling Presentations and Proposals: Create tailored presentations and proposals that address client needs and demonstrate the value of the products and services offered.
- Track and Report on Sales Performance: Monitor sales metrics, track performance against targets, and report on progress to leadership. Use data to identify opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product Development Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with marketing campaigns and product offerings.
- Conduct Daily Sales Calls and Client Follow-ups: Maintain consistent communication with potential and existing clients, ensuring follow-up on previous interactions and advancing the sales process..
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the construction or landscaping industry.
- Industry Expertise: Experience in selling outdoor landscaping products is highly preferred.
- Sales Performance: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of outdoor landscaping materials and industry trends.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and work in various outdoor environments.
- Driver’s License: Clean driving record and reliable transportation required.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
- Travel Availability: Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
