Position Summary :
As a Spare Parts SAP Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for inventory for spare parts, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials, while accurately entering data into SAP. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management, SAP, and a passion for supporting sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Inventory Receipt & Verification : Open and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy by reconciling quantities and specifications against purchase orders and packing lists. Utilize SAP to document discrepancies.
- Material Handling : Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to unload deliveries and manage the placement of items into the Modula automated storage and retrieval system.
- Data Management : Input, update, and maintain accurate inventory records in SAP, including part numbers, descriptions, quantities, and storage locations. Generate inventory reports to assist in demand forecasting and replenishment strategies.
- Inventory Optimization : Collaborate with the Spare Parts Supervisor to develop and implement inventory management best practices, including stock rotation (FIFO), cycle counting, and obsolescence management.
- Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety regulations and operating procedures, ensuring the proper handling and storage of materials. Participate in safety audits and training sessions.
- Operational Support : Assist with the training of new employees in inventory control processes, SAP functionalities, and safety protocols.
- Continuous Improvement : Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall inventory performance.
