This role will focus on event logistics, vendor coordination, marketing support, and on-site execution to ensure seamless operations and an exceptional experience for participants, staff, and attendees.

The Role
FloSports is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to support the planning and execution of our Owned & Operated (O&O) events. This role will focus on event logistics, vendor coordination, marketing support, and on-site execution to ensure seamless operations and an exceptional experience for participants, staff, and attendees.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing FloSports' Owned & Operated events, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- WNO - Top professional jiu-jitsu event series
- FloRacing Night in America - Leading midweek late model dirt series
- As well as large track & field events, wrestling and more!
- Support event budgeting, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective execution.
- Coordinate venue selection, vendor negotiations, and service contracts (e.g., catering, AV, logistics).
- Manage event logistics, including transportation, accommodations, registration, and credentialing.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Content, and Production) to develop and execute event promotion and ticket sales strategies.
- Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring smooth day-of operations.
- Manage event staff, volunteers, and partner relationships to ensure high-quality event delivery.
- Support post-event evaluations by gathering feedback, assessing key learnings, and making recommendations for future improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Sports Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in event planning, coordination, or operations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Creativity, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Trello, or Asana).
- Experience with sports events, live production, or ticketing platforms is a plus.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed for event execution.
- This is a seasonal position (30 hours/week) with a flexible work arrangement.
- Travel and on-site presence will be required for event execution.
- The contractor will report to the Owned Events Team at FloSports.
