What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Coordinator position at Flourish Health Group?
Flourish is seeking a qualified and motivated intake coordinator to work at our multi-specialty infusion clinic located in both our Dyer and Hobart clinics.
Responsibilities
- Receiving Initial Order from referring provider and enters new patient demographics, insurance information, and scans in necessary paperwork into the patient’s medical record in a timely manner
- Verifying insurance and eligibility along with obtaining authorizations when necessary
- Completing start-of-care paperwork
- Communication with providers to obtain additional medical documentation or missing clinical information.
- Contacting patients to advise them we received their order and gathers any missing demographic information.
- Scheduling appointments.
- Checking in medications.
- Giving high priority to patient satisfaction, helps schedule their infusion appointment, welcomes them when they arrive and anticipates their needs. Collect copays and necessary paperwork from the patients.
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Preferred: Associates degree
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare
- Knowledge of insurance verification, benefits, and prior authorization for the procedure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
