What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychotherapist position at Flourish Psychology?
Therapists wanted! Flourish Psychology is looking for a new clinician to join our practice. We have very flexible hours, the ability to work from home, and highly competitive pay (commensurate with experience). We also have a growing practice with active marketing to keep your caseload high!
Who We Are
Flourish Psychology is a successful, growing, boutique private practice located in Brooklyn, NY, although most of our patients are remote through TeleHealth. While we have a broad range of clientele, most of our clients are women, LGBTQ , and couples struggling with disordered eating, trauma, anxiety, and related conditions.
Our practice prioritizes your schedule and preferences, and we have a full team – a billing specialist, an intake coordinator, and marketing staff – in order to help you thrive.
Who YOU Are
Flourish Psychology is looking for a therapist that is ready to be part of a team. We want someone that has a desire to build their caseload, understands their role as both a therapist and a team member, and is looking to take on more clients now and in the future. You do need to be licensed in New York State, and it is ideal if you are located within the New York City area.
We are hoping to find someone that is willing and able to see approximately 20 new clients per week. We are prioritizing someone comfortable and experienced with both eating disorders/body image issues and couples therapy. Clinicians will also be given special consideration for those with experience in:
· Disordered Eating
· Couples Counseling
· EMDR
· DBT
· CBT
· Trauma Informed Therapy
Bonus points if you’re also comfortable with adolescents, and extra bonus points if you’re experienced in ADHD assessments and psychotherapy support.
Most of all, we want someone that is both a caring, kind resource for patients, as well as someone that recognizes the business part of running a psychotherapy practice (such as trying to convert an introductory call into a client, and trying to maintain a full client list with great availability).
Comfort with LGBTQ patients is also required, and we are prioritizing someone that can display competence in supporting people who are BIPOC coping with racial injustice.
Who Work For Us?
We’re looking for enthusiastic, skilled clinicians, and we are looking for someone ready to work with us in the long term. We offer:
· Very flexible work schedule.
· Remote work or hybrid if desired.
· Balanced caseload matching your interests.
· Consultation and supervision as needed.
· Automatic payroll with competitive pay.
· Paid family leave/disability insurance.
· Opportunity for growing benefits as practice grows.
We also let you be you. We handle the business side. You treat patients. This allows you to focus on what you love most, while our team provides the scheduling, assistance, support, and billing.
