We are actively hiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician at our clinical research site in Ravenswood!
The Pharmacy Technician assists in pharmaceutical preparation, distribution, and record-keeping to ensure timely delivery of supplies to study participants per department policies. The technician supports CRCs and management to facilitate smooth operations at Flourish Research sites. They also provide data accuracy and integrity within sponsor timelines, adhering to Flourish SOPs, policies, federal regulations, medical ethics, GCPs, ICH guidelines, IRB requirements, and specific sponsor protocols.
Shift: Monday-Friday 8 AM - 5 PM
Location: 1945 West Wilson Ave, Suite 6104, Chicago, IL 60640
Compensation: $30-$36/hr based on experience comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, 401k w/ 4% match, tuition reimbursement, parental leave, and 15 days PTO 10 company holidays.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow instruction manuals and sponsor protocols for patient visits and procedures.
- Support pharmacological services by managing medication stocks and distribution.
- Assist doctors and site staff with questions and requests.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory, place orders, and verify receipts.
- Ensure a safe and clean pharmacy environment.
- Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Organize and prepare medications, including intravenous solutions.
- Maintain logs, records, and prepare reports as needed.
- Monitor and maintain drug temperatures and system maintenance.
- Report IP excursions as applicable.
- Ensure medication availability for study conduct and deliver to departments and participants.
- Maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA and confidentiality agreements.
- Communicate with Principal Investigator, Sub-Investigators, and other study assistants, documenting communications as required.
- Attend meetings and training sessions to stay updated on regulations and protocols.
- Perform study-related duties efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Ensure all duties are performed safely and prudently.
- Represent Flourish Research professionally in all interactions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Illinois State Pharmcy Technician Certification
- National Certification with PTCB or NHA as a Pharmacy Technician
- Clinical Research experience preferred
- Worked in a hospital or in-patient facility
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask
- Work independently and with others
