What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager position at Flow Control Group?
Summary: Account Manager needed for established territory. We are a privately held, 80 year old company dealing in engineered equipment sales, maintenance, and repairs. Our customers include the largest manufacturing sites in Texas. We have a large customer list and installed base of equipment from which to plan your daily activities. Our products include air compressors, air dryers, vacuum pumps, filtration, heat transfer, and hygienic pumping equipment. We feature a lineup of well-known brands such as Pneumatic Products, Hanwha, Fulton, RP Adams, and Ampco.
Responsibilities:As an Account Manager, you will strive to grow your territory to its full potential by visiting new and existing customers to discuss their needs and explain the benefits of our specific product lineup.
Additional responsibilities include:
Quoting prices and reviewing specifications
Preparing sales contracts for orders obtained and working closely with our Customer Service team in submitting orders for processing
Identifying customer needs and problems through proactive mapping of applications
Presenting creative solutions to customers that provide improved performance and cost savings
Daily travel within territory with limited overnight travel.
Limited activity reporting and CRM updates
Requirements: We are seeking a confident and motivated individual that will succeed by learning our business and grow the territory by adding value for our customers.
Additional requirements of the Sales Representative include:
3 to 7 years’ experience selling technical products
Strong mechanical aptitude or Engineering degree
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Willingness to work in an industrial environment with moderate PPE requirements on a daily basis
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Great communication skills in a fast-paced environment
Engineering degree not required, but mechanical aptitude is essential
You will be expected to make daily sales calls at facilities in your territory to inspect equipment, cultivate relationships, develop solutions, and interface with decision makers .
