What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Technician position at Flow Control Group?
Summary: The Valve Assembly Technician is responsible for building valve actuation packages to industry standards and for order completion. A Senior Valve Assembly Technician may additionally be asked to review and assign orders to the team, deal with customers on RMAs, or explain valve issues to Customers, Salespersons or other team members.
Responsibilities
Prepares job orders for accurate build of specific valve, actuator, and accessory packages
Selects appropriate material per job order.
Prints BOM; ensures proper materials have been received into the warehouse and are allocated to correct sales orders.
Review orders for any special requirements of packages.
Maintain sales order/job order with correct status.
Communicate and coordinate with the sales team for automation packages and customer requirements, as needed.
Documents modifications to valve configurations, completing build sheets as necessary, and otherwise documenting as necessary.
Performs cycle count adjustments.
Puts up incoming inventory.
Assists in routine maintenance of equipment in the warehouse area.
Performs Cycle Counts
Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Maintains a safe work environment according to all department procedures, federal and state regulations.
Personal protective equipment is required.
Gains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, and hands-on training.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; or six months to one year experience in a warehouse; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic mechanical skills
Forklift certification is a must
