What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Training Instructor position at Flow Fitness?
Job Overview: We are seeking experienced Group Training Instructors to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fitness exercises, a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment, and the ability to motivate and guide participants through exercises. Instructors are expected to teach 75% of their scheduled classes and have adequate availability to sub for their teammates as needed.
At Flow we offer Funcitional Interval Training (FIT) classes that are 50 minutes long and focus on functional exercises. The training programs will be designed for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach FIT Classes: Lead group training classes, ensuring that all students receive personalized attention and guidance.
- Sub FIT Classes: We work as a team and step up to help with subbing when we are able.
- Participant Engagement: Build strong relationships with participants, encouraging their progress and addressing individual concerns. Send regular follow up messages after class.
- Safety and Well-being: Ensure a safe and supportive environment by adhering to best practices and offering modifications as needed.
- Community Involvement: Participate in gym events, workshops, and community outreach initiatives.
- Continued Learning: Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and ongoing education to enhance your teaching skills.
About Us: Flow Fitness Seattle has locations in Fremont and South Lake Union. We created a hybrid gym where our members enjoy studio quality classes but also get the variety and open gym access of a traditional gym.

Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of teaching experience, with a proven track record of leading effective and engaging classes.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of proper form and technique in performing exercises.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and provide clear instructions.
