POSTED ON 3/24/2025 CLOSED ON 4/2/2025

What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Technician (Medical Assistant) position at Flow Therapy?

Flow Therapy is a growing, mission-driven organization, founded on an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of every patient we touch. We are dedicated to the best-in-class delivery of a non-invasive outpatient cardiovascular therapy, known as Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP) or Counterpulsation Therapy. We encourage you to click the following link to discover, through a brief video, how we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients: Flow Therapy Short

About the Role:

As a Medical Technician at Flow Therapy, you’ll play a hands-on role in helping patients navigate their journey to better health. You’ll be part of something truly unique—delivering one-on-one care in a setting that blends technical precision with emotional connection.

Your primary responsibility is to administer Counterpulsation Therapy. Each patient completes a 7-week therapy program, and you’ll be by their side every step of the way. Unlike traditional medical settings where patients come and go, you’ll have the rare opportunity to build lasting relationships and witness meaningful progress over time.

Day to day, you’ll operate specialized treatment equipment, monitor and record vital signs, and ensure each session runs safely and smoothly according to established protocols. You’ll enter accurate, timely documentation in our EHR system and communicate regularly with your Clinic Director and team to align on patient needs and next steps.

But your impact isn’t just technical—it’s relational.

You’ll create a welcoming, supportive environment where patients feel seen, heard, and respected. You’ll learn their stories, build rapport, and become a steady, trusted presence they look forward to seeing each day. Many of our patients arrive feeling defeated—and because of people like you, they leave with a renewed sense of strength and hope.

You’ll work alongside a close-knit clinic team that values professionalism, compassion, and reliability. We’re a mission-driven organization, and we show up every day ready to serve—with excellence, with humility, and with heart.

About You:

You’re not just looking for a job—you’re seeking a role where your presence matters and your impact is felt. You might be exactly who we’re looking for if:

  • You believe healthcare is just as much about human connection as it is about clinical excellence.

  • You see every patient interaction as an opportunity to build trust, offer encouragement, and make someone’s day better.

  • You have experience in patient care— as a Certified Medical Assistant, EMT, or CNA—and you take pride in doing the “little things” right.

  • You thrive on consistency and structure, yet know how to stay flexible and present in the moment.

  • You’re calm under pressure, able to manage a fast-paced environment while keeping patients at ease.

  • You communicate clearly, listen closely, and collaborate well with your team.

  • You’re a lifelong learner, open to feedback and always seeking to improve your craft.

  • You approach your work with humility and heart—recognizing that how you show up matters as much as what you do.

  • You’re tech-comfortable, organized, and meticulous with documentation and protocols.

  • Most of all, you’re motivated by purpose—the kind that comes from helping others reclaim their health, their hope, and their lives.

About Us:

Over the past two decades, Flow Therapy has grown from an organization founded to transform the life of a single patient into the nation’s number one provider of Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP®) therapy, with a national network of clinics, and recognized by Congress as the most impactful entity associated with this therapy in the United States. Our relentless, values-driven and people-focused culture has created an organization capable of simultaneously delivering a world-class Net Promoter Score and a first-rate shareholder return, and we’re proud of the fact that we’ve transformed over thirty-five thousand lives through our team’s committed and capable results. With partnerships encompassing tens of millions of Americans, over 450 published research articles, and an unparalleled level of compassion and dedication to our patients, we’re invigorated and excited by what’s ahead, as we help health systems and hundreds of the nation’s finest cardiologists to radically transform the landscape of cardiovascular care in the United States and to change the lives of millions of Americans.
