About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Development Analyst to support all aspects of real estate development projects.
- Financial Modeling
- Produce sophisticated financial models for large development projects.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling. Calculate key investment metrics (IRR, equity multiple etc).
- Provide timely explanations of variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets.
- Project Management
- Assist in the development process, including coordination of consultants, entitlements, and zoning.
- Maintain project schedules up to date.
- Prepare weekly project checklists and monthly project performance presentations.
- Budget Management
- Oversight of project budgets (approved changes, forecasted changes, variance reports).
- Reviewing and approving all invoices for projects.
- Prepare capital call requirements.
- Market Research & Revenue Assumptions
- Collaborate with third-party consultants to get periodic reliable market data.
- Detailed market analysis of comps and market conditions (Supply/demand, absorption rates etc)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Actuarial, Economics, or a related field (required)
- 4 years of experience in real estate development
- Experience with ground-up development is a plus
- Strong proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, cash flow projections, IRR, NPV)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
