Warm and Developmentally-Minded Nanny Needed for Kind, First-Time Parents and Sweet Infant in Rochester, NY!
Ages of Children: Newborn
Start Date: Early April, 2025
Schedule: 8 AM - 5 PM, 3 consecutive days per week, based on candidate preference. This role will likely transition to full-time in 2026.
Compensation: $20-24/h DOE
Benefits: Guaranteed hours, PTO, sick days, paid major holidays
A warm and welcoming family in Rochester, NY, is seeking a nurturing and experienced nanny to provide attentive care for their infant daughter! Both parents work from home—Dad full-time and Mom on a hybrid schedule—and they are looking for a loving caregiver to become a trusted part of their daily routine. For the first year, care will be needed three days per week, with a transition to full-time in 2026.
These first-time parents are looking for a nanny who is experienced with newborns and can offer insight and support as they navigate the early years of parenting. They value gentle, developmentally-minded caregiving and appreciate flexibility as they refine their parenting approach. Responsibilities will include maintaining their daughter’s routine, bottle prep, engaging her in age-appropriate activities, and encouraging outdoor time as she grows. Trips to the park or library will be encouraged, especially as the weather improves!
The family has a dog and a cat, so comfort around pets is a must, though no pet care is required. Their ideal nanny is warm, engaging, and proactive, with a nurturing presence and a personable nature. Someone who is confident in their experience, willing to share knowledge, and open to adjusting alongside the family as they grow into parenthood will be a wonderful fit! Light child-related tidying will be asked and appreciated.

Requirements:
2 years of professional childcare experience
CPR/First Aid certified
Safe and reliable vehicle
Familiarity with infant developmental milestones
Tdap, Flu, and initial COVID vaccine series required
Willingness to make a long term commitment
