Plant Counter

Job Summary: This position works outside daily in the field conducting inventory counts.

Job Responsibilities:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

· Count plants in assigned areas daily

· Complete all tasks assigned by Inventory Manager in a timely manner.

· Record daily counts on inventory sheets.

· Replace signage (T-stakes) as needed and confirm signage is correct.

· Assist with spreading cloth over plants for freeze protection if needed.

· Assist with pulling orders or on shipping dock if needed.

· Stand up plants when down.

· Assist other departments when needed.

· Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

· Wholesale nursery experience is preferred.

· Plant knowledge is preferred.

Competencies

· Strong math skills for counting and accuracy (add, subtract, multiply, etc.)

· Attention to detail

· Good organizational skills

· Ability to read signage

Physical Demands

· Required to walk/stand for prolonged periods of time

· Continuous outside in a nursery setting. Exposed to cold and very hot temperatures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.08 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
