Flowood Medical Cannabis Clinic is a compassionate care medical practice specializing in the prescription of medical marijuana to patients with qualifying conditions. Our mission is to improve the lives of our patients through safe, professional, and effective use of medical cannabis. We are looking for a certified physician to join our team who can offer both in-person consultations and remote evaluations.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Physician who is certified to prescribe medical marijuana in the state of Mississippi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating patients, determining eligibility for medical marijuana treatment, and providing follow-up care. This position requires both remote collaboration and on-site consultations at our Flowood, MS location.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct medical evaluations to determine if patients qualify for medical marijuana under Mississippi law.
• Provide on-site consultations at our clinic in Flowood, MS.
• Offer remote consultations and collaborate with the team virtually to accommodate patients who prefer telemedicine.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with state regulations and HIPAA standards.
• Stay updated on current medical cannabis research and state regulations related to prescribing.
• Work closely with the administrative team to ensure smooth operations and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

• Licensed Physician in Mississippi: Must have an active, unrestricted medical license in the state of Mississippi.
• Medical Cannabis Certification: Certified to prescribe medical marijuana under Mississippi Medical Cannabis Program guidelines.
• Experience: Preferably experience in pain management, neurology, oncology, or other relevant fields.
• Comfort with Telemedicine: Must be comfortable working with telemedicine platforms and conducting remote consultations.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to educate and guide patients through the treatment process.
• Commitment to Compliance: Thorough knowledge of and compliance with state medical marijuana regulations and HIPAA.
