Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual lathes, with exposure to CNC
- Work safely in a manufacturing environment
- Machining tolerances /- .001
- Precision tool grinding
- Use overhead jib cranes, ergonomics, and inspection equipment
- Self-inspection of parts
- Use trigonometry to find dimensions
- Understanding of geometric tolerancing
- Work efficiently and safely
Requirements:
- 3-5 years machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment operating manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC lathes/mills
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, geometric tolerances, and finishes during the application of machining
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Machinist certification, training, or degree related to machining (a plus)
- Experience in high mix, low volume manufacturing environment
- Forklift certification
